GRP crank pin size

I have searched for this info all over the GRP thread and have found nothing. The question I have is what size is the crank pin and how much wear is to much.I have a new piston sleeve and rod but if my crank is bad then I dont need to use it. Thanks

If memory serves me correctly, the GRP crank pins were .196". If the pin is more than .0025" out, then the pin is considered out of spec. Some people have put engines together with more slop than that and it works for a little while. Hopefully you will get something in the .1945-.196" range but if you see any less than a diameter of .1935" I wouldn't waste the new parts on it.

Yes, the Grp crank pin is .196-.1965. I agree with Mark, under .1935-.194 I wouldn't run it you risk the chance of wrecking the new stuff. I think you will find your crank to be very good, the Grp cranks do not wear much.
