They keep changing the main plugs. I used to use those smaller red plugs because the batteries used to come with them and the reciever switch cord too, so then the nimh batteries started using the black plugs with the extra blank hole like the servo leads, and the switch cords started using them too, now it's back to the original red plugs, why make me wonder and search for plugs, leave em alone....Haha

we use the Henergy packs 1350mah and we have had run times of 1.8hours of continued use using ace servos which drink like an alcoholic.

Anyone know if the Helotes hump pack will fit in a D8/D8T? I measured my box and I think its about 2mm too long. Does anyone have one thy can verify the Helotes measurements? I want to run a LIFE this year and bag the regulators permanently, but I'm having problems finding one that will fit.
D8 box = 50-51mm long 31mm wide 30mm ish tall

It works great, it's a bit snug in there but it does fit. You don't have to worry about it moving around and working the plug lose or anything like that. Heck, I don't even pull mine out to charge it.

Same here.. I use this one in my 808. Very nice tight fit. charge them using A123 mode with hyperion charger.

I have 3 of these batteries from Cobra Racing and I wouldn't recommend them if one of the Hyperion packs will fit. The first pack went due to user error. The second pack had a cell expand after 30 minutes of runtime making the entire pack too large. I haven't used the third pack yet.
I'm personally looking forward to the new 1300mah LifeSource packs from Hobbico:
