Charging a lipo thru a regulator??
 
I know is an electric question on a Nitro thread..but it has to do with reciever packs so here go's. Can you charge a LiPo reciever pack thru a 6v regulator??

i did it once on accident and the regulator cought on fire.... really.

no, i had it out on the bench and right after the battery check it went pftizz and burnt the towel a bit with a black puff of smoke.

Ouch. I've seen that once after a nasty crash. The impact broke the posts off of the speed control, which then shorted and POOOOF!
