My bad, but they are development drivers and as such will work closely with the the designers. They are expected to give detailed feedback on how the car handles and are instrumental in getting the car to it's final stages.
Seeing them in the pits at NEO, they are working on the car, changing settings and really going over it constantly. Many other "drivers" are sat around chatting and being sociable. These guys are 100% focussed on the car.

car seems to be having issues so far... hope it works out... not a fan of the battery being on the manifold like that

well, i m a bit disapointed about this car!
A lot of innovation but is clearly too young to be competitive as the 8ight!!
And in comparaison with the serpent, Billy was to the doors of the amain with his serpent @ Nitrostate.
I think the durango need more dev drivers and more time to be @ 100%

I have no doubt this buggy will be a performer once they get all the bugs out. Neo2010 is one of his very first real test, is just a matter of time.

Dont forget, Hupo, Skelding, and Gerd are all die hard 1/10th electric guys. I bet the dnx408 in the hands of nitro guy would have been able to place very well.
Hupo did very well with the car, as did the rest of the guys considering it was their first real outing with it!

Do Losi team up with Durango, what is this? I found this in the results summary from NEO 2010 http://www.neobuggy.tv/neo2010/lived...tg1/ressum.htm
"James Dixon UK Losi/Durango O.S. B. 1/128 - 22/20m 14.38 55.20 44.53 (8)"
" Damian Whittle UK Losi/Durango O.S. A. 1/256 - DNS (0) "

a few years ago durango did a test with the losi buggy and sort of made a frankenstein buggy which turned allot of heads and was the foundation for the 408 and maybe the serpent

Sound good what you said but this is from NEO 2010 not a few years back. I just wonder if this is the beginig of testing new design for the new LOSI Buggy .

the reason why it says Losi/Durango is this.... (my thoughts only)
Those Drivers are probably sponsored by Durango and run their 1/10th car but not have the DNX408 yet because there was only 4 pre-production cars built for the Neo race, so they just ran the car they had.

this is what i was trying to say.... those guys probably have the car that durango was working on back then

I was at the NEO yesterday and saw both the Durango and the Serpent in the flesh, both looked very nice cars, however there were 4 Durango's and only 1 Serpent, the Serpent made the A Main - enough said!!!
Also I was a little disspointed with the Durango team area, it was very 'clicky' and they didnt look very open to chat to potential customers about their car etc... whereas Mr Easton was very welcoming and was more than happy to chat about his experiences with the car to anyone!!
If I was to make a decision today on which one to go for, the Serpent would win hands down

The Durango's didn't look too happy on track this weekend at Neo, but they are a gorgeous piece of engineering and hopefully they'll get them sorted. Looked very nimble, almost like a 10th scale in some handling traits from the point of view of an outsider. They did have some plastic breakages but they may well not even be using the production plastic at the moment, its a very young vehicle!

I have to agree that the Serpent looked the better car at Neo when on the track. I doubt that this is all down to the car though cause Billy was right on his game on the last day.
The Durango is still in it's infancy, I have no doubts it will come back from the weekend as a better car. The car did look very good through the touring car section and on the jumps, but wasn't quite as controlled on the bumps as the serpent. This will mainly come down to geometry and shock oils/positions, all things that can be altered.
Right now.............I'd buy the serpent, but my heart still says to wait for the Durango cause it will be the better car.
