Engine for my race truggy
Hi to all ,happy new year... i am new here but old at rc.
I have a kyosho st-rr a year now i race with it and i am very huppy with this truggy... anyway.. I build it and i make the mistake and i put a .28 engine the Dynamite Platinum 28(SH 28 P6) the engine is very reliable ,easy to tune, very fast, very powerfull but the mistake is that a 28 is overkill for my truggy and i want to put a good 21. Which you suggest me? the track that i race is medium to tight... I am between Novarossi .21 5XLT and Werks .21 B5, i LiKE The Toro Nero but it will be overkill for my truggy...the 5XLT is good?is the same with the old P5??I want to buy the engine these days(in 1-2 days) Thanks! |
the Plus-4 is good for my truggy?
|
The B5 will be good for your Truggy.
|
if you want a fast and reliable engine that doesnt need to be tuned much maybe an hour here or there i would go with a jammin JPX 21. its around 220 on amainhobbies. they are way under rated. we run them in our truggies and buggies and they are absolutely amazing but after 4 gallons you will need to replace front bearing but thats it.
|
+1 on the jpx. it has more than enough muscle for any truggy
|
i have see the jammin and all picco based motor i like them but i am between Plus 4, 5XLT , WERKS B5... which of these? sure there are better egnines at this money but my choices are 3...
I hear opinions... Plus4?5XLT? B5?? thanks;) |
Werks B5, run it 10 gallons toss it and by a new one, for the price you cant lose..........
|
if its just between those then go with either plus 4 or werks b5. werks is cheaper but i havent seen one run so i cant really say much but all i hear is good things. but i have seen a bunch of plus 4 and i have driven one and i really liked it, it has alot of power and its very smooth power plant.
|
mmm ..thanks all guys ...
The 100+ dollars that cost the Plus4 from the Werks B5 worth the money?? I mean they have big difference at the quality and the power so it is more pricey ? thanks again |
r/c car mag have a review of the B5 in there Feb issue and give it a good report but my money would be on the nova once you get past the breakin they really are world class smooth with loads of power. My last P5 was a 2004 motor and finally bit the dust late last year so I have another one ready when it warms up.

is a ninja to pricey for you?

same amount on my ninja and the zero play:D You can have a couple of rebuilds out of it. Can't do that with a vspec. |
