Default Looking for Jato 3.3 Hop-Ups

I am looking for some Jato hop-ups. I have tuned mine and gotten everything I can get out of it. Like any gearhead I just want more. Any suggestions?

put an os21tm in it.

revo gearing 20/40

get the hardend steel gears from hot racing

RPM's all around

mess around with different springs/shock oils if racing it

.21 is WAY to much for that. If you can find a os .18tm. They dont make them anymore but if you look around you can prob find one new somewhere. This engine is still to much but this will be what you are looking for. A while back before i got into racing i was only on the traxxas forums and they had a contest, who had the fastest jato. You had to get a video and a radar gun. I only had the radar gun so none of mine counted but i had ab mods mod my stock 3.3 and i played around with weight and i got it to 75. the fastest recorded was like 73 i THINK, might of been 74, this was the last i knew cause shortly after that i sold it and went into racing

The 21TM is not too much for it, it's a small block and a direct fit for the revo/maxx. With revo gearing it will be a beast.

I would suggest the Hot Racing dual brake setup, and Golden Horizon aluminum brake cam.

dude, this car is already unstable with the 3.3. I have had a os .18tz, an os .18tm and os .21 tm and a modded 3.3. Try driving a jato with a .21 in there and still being undercontrol, it wont happen, you will have to blip it everywhere. have you even driven a jato with a .21 in it? hell a jato alone?

+1 on sending it to AB mods.

He has done many of the traxxas motors with praised results

Yes I owned a jato, I had a modded 18tz and a 21TM in it. Maybe you don't know how to drive it?

The .21TM is not like a big block .21, it doesn't have anywhere near the torque.

My jato had a .21TM with 2.2 road rage II's on the stock 2.8 traxxas rims. I have pics if you would like to see, I only have pics of the modded 18TZ in there though.

Thank god, maybe now he can make an educated decision instead of relying on some mindless babble.
