Is there a difference between the Bevel gears for the Active and Standard diff or are they interchangeable?

Eg:
38T Standard 355038
38T Active 355138

43T Standard 355043
43T Active 355143

they are different...the one for the active diff....is deeper where it goes on the cup

So then the 2 diff cases have different dimensions as well..
