I am mostly a backyard/recreational R/C guy who likes to have fun at the park with his friends and their R/C cars. My friends and I currently have a MT2 that we use, but we are looking to add a second car so we can both have fun at the same time.

The Ten-T comes with a much better radio, easier starting, and better performance. Is there any aftermarket for it? How durable? Will I be able to find replacement parts quickly?

The MT2 is good because we know it. Of course we hate the standard radio and would probably replace it.

So I guess from above you can tell where I am leaning. But is the Ten-T worth the extra cost? I guess in the end it is because it comes with the superior radio, but you tell me.

The ten t comes with an inboard starting system. All you have to do to start it is push the button on the radio and it starts

I don't even think you can compare the two. Parts should not be a problem it's a Losi and eveyone and their brother has parts for them. Parts might not be a problem at first because it's new but I'm sure it won't be long until parts are easy to get. I wouldn't worry too much about parts from the get go unless you plan on wrecking it. The Ten-T is definetly worth the extra cost IMO. On board starting I can take or leave but it is very interesting. engine you can't compare the two. Radio no question the Ten-T wins. Sevos again Ten-T. I say get it. This place has them on sale for 459.99 https://www.thercshack.com/cart.aspx. I'll be getting one the week after Christmas.

Hands down go with the Ten-T

RcCaraction just had a Very positive review of it in the latest issue. Youre basically getting a scaled down 8ight-T, parts shouldnt be a problem, and aftermarket manufacturers should be flooding the market with upgrades in the next year or so. But what finally sold me was the radio and the price, i mean youre getting a sweet truck and a $200 radio for $500 bucks! I already have 2 cars with spektrum receivers in them so I cant wait to upgrade to the DX3S.

I've never raced before, but who knows I might be tempted with the new truck and I guess there is a good track 15 miles from my home.

all it takes is 1 or 2 to show up on the track practiceing and a class can be
made,now would that mean a constant turnout class who knows lol.

I am still not sold on this feature being a big advantage. I have no issues with the starting system on a car like my HPI MT2 with the starter wand thingy. I am not a R/C racer, but I do race real cars and appreciate what extra weight does to performance. I will be getting the ten-t this week and see if I really like this feature. I assume this extra weight is elevated above the chassis...and extra weight at that height never helps handling.

for bashing yeah the inboard starter is good, but in racing its a no no u know

Yeah I am just wired to set up all my vehicles for maximum performance no matter what. I mean my daily driver has over 500hp and I already re-did almost all the suspension in it. I replaced every bushing, went with full race coil-overs (4 way adjustable) etc....and the car is less than 2 years old. Most people would say it is insanely stiff, but that's how I like it.

I expect at some point I will probably swap to a different starter in the name of performance. I assume this will be a fairly simple conversion since this is the same engine they used on their 2wd Truggy too (right?)

i dont think losi makes a 2wd truggy ,but yea if u want to get rid of the. inboard starter, just get a backplate for the engine and cut off the knob on the rear of the crankshaft.


but i would only do that if your racing at a track really.

Isn't the Speed-NT considered a Truggy? That's what I was thinking of.

I guess I honestly don't know the difference between a Stadium Truck and a Truggy. A Truggy is supposed to be a buggy/truck hybrid, right?
