Lipo Rx Pack Runtime

Just got a Protek Lipo Rx pack for my MP9, along with a balancing charger. Went to Lipo for the starter box as well. How much run time do you get? I'm using digital servos.

Never really measured it but after fully charging I ran about an hour to hour and thirty minutes.

phm14 12-10-2009 09:48 AM

I heard it would last "all day".

Ups

I was writing about LiFe batteries. Sorry :p

Mine lasts 3, 10 min heats, one 30 minute main, wish I could say the same for my tx batterys.

depends how big of pack you run....some 2300+ Rx lipo's will run for multiple hours with out needed to be charged....I run small 900mah lipo's and ive ran them for 45min main's with no problem's....i also run Dual Hitec 5955's.

Run time will vary with servo's and what kind of surface you are driving on.

Starter box is a little different...to be on the safe side charge it after Every day you use it and monitor how many mah you putting back into the pack....that will give you a rough idea of how long you should let it slide for....i personally charge my packs every other day...with 2200 as my main pack and a 3000 as my back up i can normally go a weekend race (friday practice saturday quali's sunday mains) on my 2200 no problem's...but some people have issues with starting their cars some times which leads to starting over and over which will drain the pack alot more then just 1 start at the beginning of the quali.

+1
When I had my 8t1.0 I ran all day on the losi 2000mah lipo. Actually, it was more than a days worth of racing because I was practicing. Another guy was driving a buggy and he swapped batteries twice during play time. I went through 3 quarters of a gallon before it gave up. I was running two Ace1015's.

the best bet is to charge after your heat races ..even though you can run
"all day" ...why would you want ruin your investment ...run all your practice and heats ..then charge for the big mains ..it just makes sense :nod:my.02

That's exactly what I do.

w/dual digital servos w/2000mah i can race a 3 day racing event without charging easily although i keep an eye on any lipo. 2500mah starter box lipo as well. but thats only a half gallon

3 days. :weird:

the question now becomes how much do you actually run.

I was wondering the same thing.

+2 that's exqclty what I do as well. I would hate to have the receiver pack die in the middle of the 30 min main. I like to run on the safe side. As for the starter box. I use a 2200 mah pack and it will start 2 cars all day long and then some but it all depends on how much you have to crank the ngne or how much you work th box. I charge it at the end of every race day I know it could go longer but why take the chance.
