Maybe we should give the 7950 a full season of use before we crown it. It's still a rookie.
7955,7950,7940 are the least expensive servos you can put in a 1/8th scale. You only have to buy them once.

I will say this for the ace I have it in my latemodel and its been great I have taken some hard hits as well as hit the wall good and hard and it hasn't given me a bit of trouble the way I see it is if I can stand up to the abuse of 1/8 scale latemodel racing then its def worth a look

i would go with an hitec 645, thye are around $35 and they are a good starter servo. i had one on the hyper 7 i had and it did fine and matter of fact im still using the same on now for my throttle and i have had for a year now.

cool thanks guys! what are these 7955,7950,7940? Who makes them where could i get them?
One more question...
I have a fm radio I use on a Adam Drake2. Is it okay to just take the crystal out of that car and put it in my hyper? So I can use my fm radio with the hyper?

I run a pretty tight servo saver and havent stripped any gears yet.

All are very good servos & all will have the faults in service twitching & noise.
Ace will start to twitch after a while as the gears wear simple fix when it gets real bad take the top of & move the brass gear around 180 deg, now you have new gears & no twitching.Great price & reliable.
Orion's buzz but this does not effect performance great price & reliable.
Savox great priced budget & good specs although some batches have had blroblems.
Hitec great servo appears warranty replacement is slow price now getting higher.
Sanwa & KO all good but higher end of price bracket.
Like i said all good servo's in what ever you choose just remember to set your end points correct & they will all do a good turn.
