Yep at a Rc Pro race this year i was standing by Eddie Dogget in a race and he was talking to his pit guy the hole race i had to move down the drivers stand in the next race i don't like to here people talking right be side me in the driver stand it messes with my head . I think the ones he had came form a Hunting Store like Bass Pro.

I know they are an open mic type of radio they are not the Nascar style where you have to push a button to talk and thats all i can find is the PTT radio's. I would think it would be very helpfull you have full communication with your pitman and at our local track we have small LCD displays at pit lane showing the lap counter system and you could also communicate about lap times who is the leader and so on....The only disadvantage I see is that you can not here your motor when going around the track...

Cell phones & bluetooth earbuds. Easy solution that isn't specialized.

What!? Your pitman isn't on your MyFaves??

Yep...its most likely a bluetooth headset???

You can get these at walmart, target, radio shack, any place that sells electronics. Headsets range from $30 to 80 bucks. They fit right into your ear and the new ones are barely noticeable.

Lot of good it'll do, Its not like I didn't pound my pit strategy into my pit lackys head allready.

Allways wondering off in the middle of the main. Or distracted by the trophy girl (actually a man, or "shim"). Or pitting for the wrong driver.

They should try a remote shock collar instead.

just make sure that your comm. radios/gadgets aren't in the same frequency bands as your r/c radio system. bluetooth and many other wireless devices operate in the 2.4ghz spectrum and you're adding saturation to the channels. your r/c radio systems are probably designed to ignore these signals but you never what can happen

Now that you mention the inerferece thing.I have tried to use my jawbone & it was fine for me driving but my pit guy still had a hard time hearing me. I am thinking that every time I noticed my Spektrum doing wierd things & glitching I am pretty sure my blue tooth was on.

Just thinkin you may be on to something. Not racing much now but when it hapens again I'll turn it off & see what happens.Seems most guys on the stand have them on too.

I thought 2 way communications were illegal at most big events due to the distraction they provide for other drivers on the stand?

Legal in RC Pro. I think it's less distracting than hearing the driver or pit man screaming at each other.

This is what me and a friend use. the noise cancelling feature works great and the free ear can hear the engine and stuff.
