Why would you want a .28 in a buggy??? But there have been some that have and had no problems with the rear diff. what are you blowing the spider gears or the ring gear??

replacing R+P's is a match set....if you blow 1 gear the other needs to be replaced as well...if your just throwing Ring gear's at the problem meanwhile the real problem is the pinion....you'll forever have problems.

And when you replace the ring and pinion dont forget to replace the gear case too as its the reason why these r/p are blowing up.

I too had a problem with the rear diffs. What is a cheaper and easier fix is to buy a complete setup from ebay that is pulled apart from a kit

i was actually forced to replace the case due to wearing a hole Right through the bottom piece that keys into the chassis......Noticed dirt in with the R+P Grease and upon further inspection found a flippin hole in the case.

+1

The whole rear diff on ebay goes cheaper than the R+P set at hobby shops.

If you're killing R+P gears, replace the R+P and gearbox and shim correctly. If you don't the problem will never go away.
