no im not saying that im pretty sure though that a 1/8 nitro buggy weights
about 7.5 pounds with the fuel in the tank ,the electric 1/8 that i felt,
seems a bit heavyer the magnet in a motor is pretty heavy its not the lipo
batterys.

im not sure though i think also the guys 1/8 electric might have been the
tecko coversion kit

my truggies weigh about a pound heavier then the nitro's, but not everyone's.

about the weight,

i have no idea on a nitro but mine is made out of 21oz. battery 4.3oz speedo and 14.8oz. motor.

how much does a .21 weigh? and its exhaust?

anyway, Nitro can stay alive if they would be silent (or less loud) but then you guys wont like them.

because it's the biggest issue with them i see around here.

can run electric everywhere, nitro sounds go to inside of peoples houses then they complain to the law and your done.

most tracks in my states are in the woods in a open field so thats not a
issue at all with nitros, yea they would suck if they are quieter

Which is part of the problem. Not everyone wants to have to drive out to East Bumblestank in the middle of a nowhere just to drive their car.

The noise is cool and I don't mind it personally, but it is a huge limiting factor in densely populated areas as everyone doesn't want to hear that constant buzzing.

My hope is that electric will get big enough to where we can get some indoor tracks in real city/urban areas that are sizable enough for 1/8 during the winter time.

im not talking about back in boonies just tracks that are about a half
hour away are in the woods in a open field where there is no houses
around so theres no bitching about the noise and its cheaper to put a track
in a field also

In the 10 years I ran nitro in the SF Bay area at least 3 tracks opened & closed within a couple of years because of noise. If you live in a large metro area, there is no such thing as an open feild or woods 1/2 hour away. The only track for nitro that has remained open the whole time is 75 miles away. And yes we still drove out there but having a track away from people is why the hobby has such a hard time growing. The tracks need to be where people who know nothing about RC can accidentally find the track & see how much fun people are having. Unfotunatly those locations will have neibors who will hate the nitro noise.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I just started skipping his posts. His sentences run-on and don't make sense half the time. Ever heard of a period (.) or a comma (,)??? I hate trying to read crap like that.
And i hope nitro doesn't go away, that's for sure. i'm not ready to jump on the LiPo bandwagon just yet. I like just being able to squirt some fuel in and roll out!

See TC I am not the only one who has posted about your posts. Man you cant not make sense out of your posts, and how can you spell words that often and bad if I was that bad I would stop. From one of your posts you said its not that hard to read so obviously you dont see it. What a shame

Electric and nitro have their own place in this hobby and one is not better than the other. I don't know why you have such a negative attitude toward something that you probably have never driven. Maybe they smoke you at every meeting, so you just have a hate for them,

Here in So-Cal most of the outdoor tracks have a curfew. At our local track E-10th scale defiantly outnumbers the nitro classes (2-5 Nitro heats vs. 10 E-Heats.). At bigger events nitro is still king (2-4 E-Heats vs. 15-17 N-Heats).

i driven electric offroad for pretty long brushless and brushed .
the track i go to nitro is the king and a just started sc class i think i depends on. the track u go to and the people some tracks have more then the other .
no the guys who had a few 1/8 electrics cant drive them so usally the nitro,
buggy wins .
