Only thing I know about that engine is to no use marvel mystery oil on it as after run oil. The silicone ramp on the crank will shake loose. Seen that one before. Other than that I would call it well rounded. Run time, low end, top end, smoothness are all OK I guess. There are better engines but there are worse as well.

Default The Nova engine

For truggy is the P5. It's just easy to keep it in good shape. Clean it, race it, tune it. The bf is good for the price and if your new if you fry something or wear it out a little early you can get the p5 and keep it longer. really though there are so many nice engines out there these days, but I like the craftsmanship on the novarossi. I'm old school. the p5 with the 9853 ss pipe and short round header would be tough. They will run fat too. If you spin out, typical new racer problem, you can fatten the top a little and control it easier and it will run all day....Especially in long mains when the engine might get a little hotter than a normal practice or heat race.
