your best bet is to walk around home depot or harbor freight. ive seen guys with ones like this before http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1...atalogId=10053
looks pretty handy, and alot cheaper then the hudy crap

Look into the Husky tool caddies at Home Depot/Lowe's. This came up in another thread here towards the bottom of the thread. I and several other people in my area use them. They're much less than the Mugen/Hudy pit bags (Husky runs ~$39) and work fine. They fit my starter box, pit tools, fuel bottles, etc., and still have plenty of space leftover and are extremely rugged.

Except red and longer. The one pictured might work but no idea if it's long enough (11"tall x 16"wide x 8"deep) to carry your starter box laying down. You may be able to find the one we're referring to at Home Depot still but it doesn't appear on the online website anymore apparently. I know the one in my area still has them in-store.

I had a craftsman bag and it was ok but it's so nice to have an rc specific bag. I use the mugen one now it carrys everything I need for 2 cars all at once. 2 fuel bottles a fuel gun starter box gloves towel any screw dirver you can think of a wheel wrench glow plug wrench wheel nuts plugs etc. The mugen bag is great. I lobe the hudy stuff but man 100 bucks for a bag is a little steep. The mugen bag works very well. That's my vote.

I've got the FatMax box. It works great....lot of room for tools and various stuff.
I agree that the Hudy bag is way too pricy, but I lucked out and found one on here for $45 that didn't have a spec of dirt on it. It's sitting quietly on my shelf until I get my truggy ready for next season.
I don't really need to carry much to the driver's stand at the moment...only racing SCT.

I use the stanley fatmax fold out workstation. Heaps of room and compartments and easy to carry around as it has handle and wheels

Between that and the Husky caddy for the pit bag I'm set.

You guys don't take all that to pit lane do you ? Maybe I'm confused. I thought he asked about a pit bag.

Not that one. It seems Home Depot took over the exclusive distribution of Husky tools and is now phasing them out. The one we're talking about looks more like this:
