I bought a Losi 11.1v 3 cell 20c 3200mah Lipo from a friend at the JConcepts Nationals last weekend.. Worked great!

But I already had a 14.8 4 cell 20c 5200mah Lipo coming off ebay for $30

Venom makes one specifically for a starter box. Not sure what the part number is though.

There's No such thing as a Starter box specific pack...and $ for $ the name brand packs aren't worth it....cheapo ebay/hobbyking lipo's are all you need.

I think pretty much any 4s with 15c or higher and 2000mah or higher I personally don't like the 5000 packs because they take soo long to charge.

i sometimes run buggy and truggy and my dad runs truggy, 2000 would work but i would have to charge in a multi day event. ive ran nitro challenge plus many club races before chargin with my old 4400

wow didn't even knew that one can use a lipo battery on a starter box, that sure would save some weight!

I'm sticking with my 8c. I see no need for anything higher until it can be proven, and I have tried to find an engine that the OFNA Blue top can't start with a good battery Lipo or Gel.

My 8c has a 48amp Continuous discharge rating and a max of 72 it can hit for 5seconds with out harm. In a starter box I can't see how this isn't more then enough for twin 775 motors.

Either way I do agree though that Lipo in the starter box is the only way to go, and that Nick (Integra) is correct on cost.. Don't waste money.. Buy cheap b/c they are truly all the same.

Side Note - Except the older Losi Hard case 4s packs someone that was putting those together couldn't solder the balancing wires for the life of them.

I thought 4S may be over kill and ordered 3S. Wont a full charged 4S be 16.8V and hurt the motors? Will the 3S work, guys?
