Big Bores

Hey everyone, I want to put some big bores on my RC8, but i am afraid the rear end clearance is not there. The reason being: the new RC8B comes with an updated wing mount. On their website it says "... and a new wing mount for 16 mm shock clearance."

You can still put them on. The wing mount is pretty cheep. If you don't want to buy the mount you can just drimmel the mount just a little bit so the spring adjuster doesn't hit the mount in some location.

yah dumb associated doesnt sell the wing mount yet... hah they are so dumb some times... I just did a little steering mod on my rc8, it steers like 2x better! muhuhahah. what springs come stock on the rc8b?

The new wing mount is almost the same, just has some material removed for clearance. A dremel can take care of it in seconds, which saves you on the wing mount.

The wing mount is just a running change, like the front arms. They wont change the part number. Its just a matter of getting through the old stock of parts.

I run the original RC8 with BB's with no problem. Slight wing mount change as has already been said. It's not that big of a deal. Don't you think you are being a little hard on AE. Have you contacted them and asked about it ?

oh yeah not to mention that my b-plate snapped and has been broken for a long while. (on my rc8b)

if you have an RC8B, you have the updated wing mount. Now, if you have the Steel B plate from the old version, you really should buy all 4 of the new hinge pin plates, as they are a ton better.

AE can`t be that bad, if you have RC8 as part of ur username, and you say you have an RC8B, well the stock springs are the ones you have on it,
(Front)Bronze,(Rear)Black......

the rods that come from the ackerman bar to the knuckles, switch the left one to the right and the right one to the left. you will have to put endpoint at max 120:lol: and thanks about the spring question.:)
