Newbie with carburetor problem...
Im new to Nitro. I bought a car with a GRP Promo .21 tuned motor. Everything was basicly new. I broke in the motor- everything fine. Took it to the track today for the first time. Drove for about 45 minutes then throttle started sticking. The sliding part on the carburteor does not slide all the way back to the idle poition. if you force it it will but will not slide back smoothly on its own.
What do I need to do to fix this???
Thanks for any help

Ive never has this problem before but what i would do, is remove the carb from the motor and then strip it down, clean it will some nitro fuel or wd40.

dis-assemble the carb and inspect.....make sure its not your linkages pulling on the carb funny causing the problems....GRP carb's are one of the smoothest carb's on the market...something's up.

Make sure the linkage is not binding and that the linkage is level. Also is there a spring between the carb and the servo connection. I know I have to adjust the subtrim and set the servo horn a little more toward the carb to make sure it closes all the way after opening. The other way to help is to attach a return spring or band. Use the gmk ones.

I will try to take it off tonight and clean it real good. I dont think it has anything to do with the linkage or trim. I have a friend who helped me set all this up but he has never had carburetor problems either. It definately doesnt slide smooth like it should though.
Thanks
