Losi rumors, the next 2.0 buggy?
Seems like Losi updates the race cars every year or so. The 2.0 has been out just over a year, so whats next.....heard anything? 871

You might be mistaking Losi for Xray, because I'm pretty sure they don't intend on doing anything of the sort, only thing they may do, which is a very big if is possibly make the 2.0 a kit and I highly doubt that.

Xray is due for a E809. Rumor mill says the 810 is about the same with majik shocks.

The reason I ask is years ago when I raced electric truck, They released several different versions of the xxx-t in a short time. It was frustrating cause every time the did, yours was outdated even more. I was gonna shop around for a 2.0 roller, and could wait if there was somthing new on the horizon 871

They dont need a new car.Just need to release it in in kit form and price it right.Should cost about 300$ like the d8.

There have been some relatively minor running revisions to the 2.0 at this time (brake disc material and front shock tower).
Other than that, I don't forsee any massive changes for at least ANOTHER year...so late 2010. You'll see changes right before the next World's race, I doubt much anything big will change before that.

maybe they will get the price down were it needs to be

Price isn't really that crazy.
As much as I hate to admit it; the RTR 2.0's are a steal for what you get in total; they kinda make the Race Roller look like a ripoff.
The racer side of me wishes they would do a kit; but on the other hand I understand the economics aren't really there for it. I do wish they'd put a slight amount of $$ into the alloys used for the dogbones and outdrives for a little better longevity; but they're not "bad" as they are either. I really don't have any complaints out of the rollers thus far and I was the #1 guy against them when they came out.

im hopeing in the beginning of 2010 it wil get to at lest 400 but it took about 3 years to get the eight 1.0 that cheap

The used market on the 2.0 is very reasonable and i was able to purchase my backup from 325.00 used. I know a lot of racers that will only run a car for six months or so and completely replace it thats how to get a deal. And as for the price of the new ones i don't mind paying for a good product.
