Default extended time high idle

going nuts trying to get my jammin .28(new bearings, pinch and completely sealed) to drop back to a normal idle speed. it does return to idle...just takes awhile. this is something new that has come up with the engine....any tuning tips..?? idle gaps bout 1-1.5mm....

Idle gap is too much, too rich on bottom.

set gap to .50-.75, lean the bottom.
