Seems like a great truck from what I have seen, only way to find out is to take it out of the box and have fun with it.

The SC8 is based off the RC8 platform which are awesome vehicles. The only real downside I see is they are not as popular as some vehciles and you might not be able race at most RC tracks. For an everyday running it's an awesome car.

If you look a couple pages back there is a specific SC8 thread called "Sc8 set ups - tips" I think.
Bunch of good reading on there for you

Also,

The SC8 is a great truck. Not much out there more fun to drive that is that realistic looking and tough as well.
