How do the fuel gun know?

What persuades the fuel gun to shut off when the tank is full.I have never used one, but have seen them used from a distance and they are really fast.

There are air tubes near the tip of the fuel gun. When you pull the trigger on the fuel gun it allows the fuel to run out of the gun, but in order for that to work, air has to enter the gun to take the place of the fuel that exits the gun. The air gets into the fuel gun thru the air tubes.

Now, you put the fuel gun into the tank and pull the trigger. Fuel runs out of the gun until the fuel level reaches the air tubes. When the fuel level in the cars tank reaches the air tubes, air cannot get into the fuel gun and the fuel stops flowing.

O.K. Thanks. I would love to have one but honestly my driving skills are not good enough yet. This last weekend I ran like it was my first time on a track. I can not for the life of me figure out what was wrong but I know this : Piston was in backwards , somehow my frame rate was changed from 5.5 to 11ms, track was super slick and i was chasing a suspension setup. However every body else was having no problems WTH???? Guess you just have some bad days.

Zerodefect 10-01-2009 06:05 AM

Thats cool, cause you don't have to drive a fuel gun and they work fine backwards!

In and out, point and squirt.

You were starting to catch up to me so I set your radio to a slow frame rate when you weren't looking. I crank down the shock preload on the left rear of Tallyrams car when he isn't looking.

They can be a little messy when you are "gunning" for 2 second pit stops at the Worlds.
