mid range needle
 
when i was driving my truck the mid range needle valve loosened and fell out. somehow i was lucky enough to find it but i was wondering if i could put lock tite on the threads so it wont fall out again

I would use air seal. A true air seal like Lucky 7 available at TKO.

Most peole do not use mid needle but you can use blue thread lock.

Set it and forget it...I've seen people put shoe-go over it so nobody is tempted to touch it when tuning.

i would not locktie it but I do seal using silicon

Your going to need to tune the engine before you seal it. I would probably put it in dry tune the engine and then just silicone over it when its properly adjusted. Sealer or loctite will not hold if you turn it after the initial installation and drying of the product.

AH LocTite will.. Because it always stays somewhate wet and everytime it the threads are moved it opens new pores and allows it to adhere again..

You are however correct that silicone will not reseal..

well today i was given a sealant to just put around the outside of it. it will just keep it in their so it wont unscrew itself again.
