Default Team Orion ajustable volt. regulator

I have been running lipo rec. bat. for a couple yrs. now. My problem is I run the futaba FASST 2.4 SYS. and when ever I race where it is hot aprox. 85 deg. and up my receiver shuts down and goes to failsafe usually after about 10 min. of running. I believe this problem is do to having the regulator in the rec. box and getting to hot. I have used 3 to 4 different brands of regulators and still have the same problem. When I mount them on the outside of the rec. box I don't seem to have this problem but the regs. do not last very long for me on the outside. I was recently browsing through Amain and noticed a new regulator out made by Team Orion. This reg. seems to have a hard shell case which looks durable and sealed up from contaminates and it is ajustable from 5.5v-7.0v 10amps. Has anyone had any experience with this

Thanks for any info.

I haven't used the Orion ones but there are regulators geared towards airplanes that are worth looking into as well. Usually they have dual output/inputs for 2 batteries and Rx's.

20 amps with a hard al case/heatsink. I've seen them at hobbytown before.

PM the Joey Platinum, he used to run one.

I got one and it's GREAT, It's mounted on the top of my battery box on my MBX6 and is about 1 inch from the header and have never had a problem with it, even during 30 min mains.Mine is set at 6.4v and works awesome

I run them also. I have them all mounted outside and have never had a problem with them. I have had the fasst receivers shutdown from heat though even with the regulator outside.

I've been running it for 2 races now and I have mine inside the receiver box and I have a mini receiver squeezed into the switch box on my MP9 and I haven't had any issues and I've been known to practice for and hour straight.
