Default V-Spec Pro Mod vs. Mugen JX21 EBMod

I broke the crank pin off of my 10 gallon Go Tech so I'm shopping for a new motor. I'm between the V-Spec Pro Mod and the EB Modded JX21. It's going in a RC8T truggy.

I like that the EB mod comes with the head button and it's broken in...I'd probably end up getting the EB head button for the v-spec anyway so it would probably end up costing more in the end.

So - the big question - which one?

go with the ninja, you will have more then enough power and really good fuel mileage, i get 11 min run times on mine with the eb button, the promod v spec is similar to a speed but with a blue head, it wont hit as hard on the bottom like the jx

I run speeds, and have to say that I'd go with the JX Ninja. After you get the motor, if you want a little more power you can always add the speed crank to make it even more of a screamer. The only thing I'd do with the stock JX is after break in, I'd change out the bearings to TKO's if possible.

So the JX21 will have more bottom and be overall smoother than the V-Spec?

I am planning on running the AE 2035 pipe for a short bit...I'll get a 2050 or 2060 later on down the road.

I have to disagree - the Vspech is a smoother Engine period - the ninja has more bottom, but my modded Vspec is faster reving and reaches top speed faster.......... my ninja is great for tracks that has jumps right out the corner, but high speed tracks with smaller jumps - I use my vspec

hey man, i just picked up the promod and ninja a few days ago. For the truggy, go with the ninja man. I put the ninja in my losi 8ight-t2.0, and the promod in the 8ight-b 2.0. I love these mills. They screammmmm. ESP the ninja!! Its just a bit over the promod. the promod could deff keep up with the ninja but is a lil smoother than the ninja IMO.

Good luck with whichever you decide man. They are both great!
