Default shimming ceramic bearings

What is the correct way to shim a ceramic bearing. I've read and have been told that they need to be shimmed alittle on the tight side but I've also read and been toid that they need to be shimmed alittle on the loose side. So what one is it

what are you shimming is the first question...different thing's require different amount's of play....from CB bearing's to Axle's to R+P's.

you want .3-.5 worth of end play....an easy way to check how much you have is to use a loose shim...if you can stuff it in the shim stack and wiggle it up and down you have roughly .4-.5 if you cant fit the .3 well obviously you need some more play...so remove a thin shim and remeasure.

if 0.3 to 0.5mm why not...

if 0.3 to 0.5in, then you're asking for trouble

.3-.5mm ....here's a handy dandy shim kit to have on hand for clutch shimming.
