measuring carb slide opening?
Is there a way to measure the 1 mm for the carb slide when its at idle, or does everybody just eyeball it? I noticed on my trx 2.5 that I can back the idle screw almost all the way out and the it still idles fine. Is the slide supposed to close all the way or is there a internal stop? I can adjust the idle up ok, but it will only go down so far.

you can make a feeler gauge with an old credit card
if you cant back it down, there is something wrong
if you cant back it down, there is something wrong

I use drill bits to measure carb openings & pre fer to tune needles to match whatever the MFG says the opening should be set at give or take a hair.

Just take out venturi, close carb and measure, and make sure that you have properly adjusted link between carb and servo, because sometimes, if it not correct after turning on power it will move out and you will get bigger gap than you made
