GRP Engine Tooling Kit Question

GRP Engine Tooling Kit Question
Well my GRP engine tooling kit just arrived today. I tried using it to remove the bearings and the sleeve from the LOSR2300 engine. This is the stock engine that comes with the Losi 2.0 8ight RTR buggy.
It made taking the back bearing out incredibly easy. I am not having as much luck with the front bearing. It seems like to diameter of the GRP tool is too big to fit in the case.
I compared its diameter to that of the crankshaft that I removed from the case and it is noticeably bigger (20-30%).
So here is the question. Has anyone used the GRP kit to remove the front bearing from this engine? Has anyone used this kit to remove the front bearing from any .21 engine?
I called Losi tech support and the guy on the phone called Adam Drake who said it should work. I don't want to force it and damage the engine case or the GRP tool.
Anyone have thoughts?

sometimes its difficult to get exact answeres in this hobby/sport. this tool sounds nice! maybe w/grp burning there will be some of these going closeout.
I wouldnt force it. even if i have to call back several times before i actually make it work and hear horizon say yes its ok. gouges in cast blocks can be bad especially inside(the block). hey man i might send you some stuff to work on lol

jax not sure on the size of that engine but the rear is the hardest by far to take out but if your not able to stick the tool all the way through then you wont be able to install the new bearings with it.

The tool fits in there with hardly any effort at all I have never had to force it in any engine yet.

The next question is what .21 engines does this tool work on and why are .21 engines different?
Thoughts?
