Questions?? Losi Engine Names???

Why does Team Losi name their engines after real Chevrolet Engines? 350? 427? 454? It just seems like a strange way to try and get publicity because they are copying famous engine displacements? The numbers don't even have anything to do with the engines size! I have nothing against Losi, but this is just my $0.02

I guess someone over there is a GM fan.

How long before someone comes out with 302, 351, and 429 motors.

Or my favorites, 389, 400, 421, and 455

lol 350 stands for 3.5cc(.21ci) 427 stands for 4.27cc(.26ci) and 454 is a 28 but the cc doesnt line up with that one.

the 454 might be 4.54cc which is .277ci and if you round up it's a .28ci. I'm just guessing here though. Is there dimensions posted somewhere to calculate?

It may have something to do with being an American company as well.

I would have named 'em "Fluffy, Gonzo, and George".

Oh, I didn't know that they matched the displacements. And I don't think we would have met, I've only been to the Grande Prairie Track once...

Would have been better if they used MOPAR engine sizes...

360, 383, 400, 440
