Two guys at our track recently started running these reedy motors. One runs a GRP pipe, and the other a JP-3. Both engines run really good. Not sure about the fuel consumption though.

mine already has a bad rod and it has only 3/4 of a gallon.

i broke it in how the directions told me to and it had a crazy bog in the bottom that i could not get rid of. so i put it on the box and tired to get more fuel in it to maybe loosen it up so i can maybe drive it on the track to finish the brake in and it never went away. and finally took the motor out of the car and found out the rod was gone.

going to call reedy tomorrow and see whats up.

I guess we'll have to look at ours before we crank it up. Thanks for the 411

Did you preheat it when it was new before starting? If not, that probably explains the rod.

Doubt that

I have not seen any problems from not preheating. Have helped break 3 Reedy's no preheating and run great...

I have one - for sale now - but it ran good, and yes you have to heat it up or change the rod after breakin -
