Need car stand for 1/8th buggy and truggy

i have the ofna (not the ball bearing one) and losi stands. i like the screw holder and rotation feature that the ofna has and i like the shock holders on the losi stand.

I use this one and love it. Doesnt spin too much like the ball bearing variety. I saw somewhere on here about sticking a shock collar down the center post hole to gain clearance for truggy tires...

I bought a homemade one from a guy at a hobby show for $5. He used 3/16" aluminum plates, aluminum dowel and foam rubber for the chassis protector. Car doesn't slide around at all and it's very durable. No swivel, though, but you would have the pride of having made it yourself. He said it cost him about $3.50 worth of materials to make them.
Doesn't have the "cool" factor of all those listed above, but it gets the job done, and cheap!!! |
