what do you guys think of the 8 port ???

Hi, what do you guys thing of the Hyper 21 8 port (pro edition) there selling dirt cheap on ebay new for like £68 ($115) they have to be better than the mach 28. A new piston and liner set is almost the same price as one of those 8 ports.
Any opinion on this motor would be great thanks.

From what I remember about those and its sibling(the purple headed one) is they are finicky, Hi-strung and the carbs were garbage, had to put a different carb on them just to get them running reliably...........If your looking for something cheap and reliable get one of those new Dynamite mach 2 .21's. All depends on what you want but one of those would be on the very bottom of my list of something cheap........;);)

Another cheap option is the Nova N21B or the 2001BF(think thats what its called). Both are great engines for very low price.

+1 on the NR if you are going to go the cheap route. Go with the N21BF Limited Edition .21

I've been having nothing but bad luck with the Hyper .21 8 port. This is the NON race 8 port without the pull start. I've got about a 1/2 gallon through it and its way down on compression. I heat gunned it for the initial start up and have always run it blowing smoke. I clean the filter religiously also. I guess it's time to use it as a paper weight.

Spend just a few dollors more and get the bf21 2000 limited you will be so much better off. I have 2 of them I must say, easy to tune with a great carb + it will last you at least 5 or 6 gallons more then any hyper engine ever will.
They have a vary tight pinch when baken them in, you must heat the engine every time for at least the first gallon of fuel, and put the ofna 086 pipe on it with the odonnell #100 plug you will love it. That is the best $150.00 engine on the market bar none !!!!

Smart racers here. The Novarossi n21bf is my favorite inexpensive mill. It drives expensive and tunes easy too. It takes some time to break in but that'sa good thing....
