Step 1. Remove fuel from tank.

Step 2. Refill tank with different fuel.

Seriously, just swap it out, richen the top half a turn, put it on the track and re-tune.

just switch and re-tune! if your bumping the nitro%age, you might have to add a head shim if your going up 20% to 30%, or take one out if your going down 30% to 20%.

if you didnt remove any headshims to run 20% then you are already set and ready to go.

what engine do you run? I have a O.S.v-spec speed, and regular version. I have 1 head shim and I also use byrons 30%

take your cooling head off and check for copper rings. if it's a turbo plug engine the shim is under your head button.

Your speed and your stock v spec, come with 2 shims. 1 copper and 1 aluminum..

No you shouldnt

When changing fuel , just let it idle for a half tank, to let the oils from the new fuel clean out the old.

I wouldn't mess with the head shims till you run it. Usually, If you need a shim you can hear the engine pre-detonating. It's hard to explain the sound. Almost like a sizzling sound. How many head shims you run has a lot to do with what climate you're running in. It's possible you were running too many already, and switching fuels will put you right where you need to be. Just make sure you don't start to see pitting on the top of the piston, thats a sign of pre-detonation.
