Default M11x.

Who has it and how do you like it. I am considering pulling trigger on one of these. Any owners that have the radio are you using a 2s lipo for the receiver, and if so are you using a regulator or not? Also what kind of runtimes with only 7.4 volts on the transmitter?

i have the m11 fhss system and i understand that the receivers don't like to be unregulated. does the m11x use a different receiver?

The m11x manual says not to run more than 6 volts to the receiver. I have the new system and I like it a lot. I am running the radio with the nimh pack it came with, it does last about 6 hours. In the car I am using a lipo but I am still using a regulator.

I have it and I like it a lot its WAY lighter then the original m11 and there are some great features like how you can slow down your DIGITAL servos or make them go faster

With the stock battery it is light but with a lipo it is really light.

I have run 6.0 volts with the new receiver and it works fine but I have also heard of people running 7.4 volts to the receiver and it has also been fine

The new m11x dss3 (stock m11x receiver) is different and also smaller then the dss2 receivers.

I had the opportunity to physically hold the radio, put the battery in it, the whole 9 yards. The radio is very nice, light, and the receivers are different, very flat and a little longer. I am going to assume that running 7.4 volts straight to the receiver will be a try at your own risk type situation. I do however know some folks with the previous m11 fhss running 7.4 volts to the receiver and having no problems. What is it that Nomadio, KO, and Spectrum are doing that there gear is good for 7.4 volts?

+1. Add me to the list, John. I have two complete M11 systems (one is DSSS, the other is FHSS) and I run them with unregulated LiPo to the Rx. I've never heard of anyone else having trouble with them, either.

You're welcome to play with my buggy or truggy at Indy to get a feel for the M11. They are not the X version, but there's no difference in the driving operation.

I'll be up there on Wednesday and/or Thursday, and should be there on Saturday. Just PM me.

Hey Mark, thanks for the offer. I stopped by the shop yesterday to pick up some tires and saw the m11x in stock so I had to check it out. Ron took it out of the case and let me get a closer look. I am really thinking of picking it up and just rolling the dice on the 2s lipo. After all, my futaba receivers aren't supposed to see that kind of voltage and they are still kicking for about 6 months now.

i just got one of these last week and run it for the first time on the weekend
it was awsome
its super quick and the menu is fairly easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.
it also has a great custom menu setup where you can move all the stuff you want into one place

i am planning to run one of my cars with a 2 cell lipo so i hope it works un regulated
i guess ill find out soon enough
