The oven cure doesnt hurt the pipe at all, you have to oven cure (550 degrees) it when they hard coat it.

Buggies don't wind like that because they don't have props. Alot of that sound is from the small high pitch prop race planes use.

Ever put a V-spec or WS7III on a Hudy breakin bench? They sound alot crazier in the stand than it deos in the car.

But race planes and boats do hit some high rpm's just like us. They are racing after all. In fact boat engines have the hardest job, every time that prop comes out of the water that can hit some crazy revs then when it lands back in the water it gets a whole lot of instant load. Real hard on the engine.
