Default Whats Needed For Racing

Hi all i have my first ever race comming up on august 9th

I currently have a Xray 808 Novarossi powered

hudy setup system and tools

charger, new galllon of fuel etc

what else do i need

i will overhall the car and replace any worn parts the week before.

should i get the 2009 upgade kit and should i get a new set of tyres that everyone else is running

does anybody know were to buy PTs in the UK

also i am looking at the spektrum DX3S allthough im not gonna use the telemetry. i like the look of the DX3R because of the faster reactions but will i being a super novice notice this extra speed surely the DX3S will be a huge improvement over my current radio speed and what not see link

Thanks in advance Ben

plus double check and tripple check to make sure your prepared batts charged all of your bugs nuts and bolts are tight make sure you have some spare parts like arms good bearings just anything that you think you my need and when you at the track ask questions and find the hot set up for your bug pay attention on whats going on there and marshal when its your turn the guys dont like it when you try to skip out on marshalling and dont be a hack as in dont intentionally take a guy out but hey rubbing is racing but nothing to extreme and if your about to be lapped let the leader by im assuming your a beggnier so youll have plenty of chances to hold back the leader once you good enough and as you bug you dont need the new upgrade kit im sure its fine the way it is and another thing slower is faster just take everything nice and easy until you get the hang of it and i think thats about it o ya almost forgot HAVE FUN

Chair, Table, Food, Drink, Sun Screen, money, extra air filter(s), extension power cord, and what was mentioned above.

and a stopwatch, extra sets of pre-mounted tyres... if u're not going to use the telemetry anyway, go for DX3R...

A transponder most likely. Although I suppose some tracks might rent them out or something. Check into it.
