alright u have the engine out.. now get a 2mm hex driver and take the screw holding the clutch bell on off. then the clutch will be exposed and check if there is anything that looks wrong with it. but yea that servo is good! better than stock!

Just pull the dang clutch bell off already and there is a good chance your problem will be solved after you file down your shoes and put them back together. I am starting to think that during break in he didnt allow the tires to spin freely while getting on the throttle.

Did you happen to put it up against a wall during break in and pressed the throttle so it wouldnt go anywhere or did you hold down the buggy while giving it gas so that it wouldnt take off not allowing the wheels to turn?

Either that or the shoes were bad to begin with and had burs on them creating them to heat up and stick.

With no electronics on when you try to roll it on the ground what happens. Does it feel like its stuck and the tires do not want to move freely. If so its your clutch.

Have you pulled the bell off yet? Please dude just do it. Its really easy to put it back together.

OMG WTF - just freaking do it and stop chatting about it.

Also if it just "took off" make sure your rebind the radio. Just for good measure change the clutch bearings too, since it take you 48 hrs to take off the engine and another 48 to take off the bell. Oh get some new springs.

The springs is what keeps the shoes down do if they are stuck the springs are shot.

Sorry but a clutch will not get stuck and you wont have to replace things,

something in the clutch setup failed.

Not on the clutch bell. ENGINES have metric threaded crankshafts. Doesn't matter what engine. 5/64 may be essentially the same... but the bolt in the end of the crankshaft is metric.

The engine shafts are metric though even losi engines. The usual countersunk screw is a 2mm, I use a cap head screw that is 2.5mm. Pulling he clutch is not that big of a deal you should do t before every long main anyway just to make sure your cluch will hold up.

the screw that holds the clutch bell on is metric losi racer. Its a 3 mm screw that takes a 2mm to get it off.
