They've been racing every Saturday, I think. However, it's closing soon. This Saturday is the final race before the track is removed.

As far as I know, the only other track in the metroplex that allows nitro is Indy RC World, but it's in Garland.
There's a rumor that Mike (of Mike's Hobby Shop) is going to open an outdoor nitro track, but I don't know how much of that is true.

Garland is a little to far away.

Mike's is in Carrollton, kinda near 635 and 35. It's a little closer to Fort Worth. Who knows where he'd open the track, though. Maybe he would open it closer to Fort Worth to serve that area.

Very cool. I'm in Plano, and Granbury might as well be in Alaska from where I am, lol.
I'm glad that one opened. It's sad to see JCG closing.

I highly encourage y'all to come out this Saturday. It won't be a club race, it is a larger event (well, who knows how many will show up?) but there will be awards... and after race drinking/bs session (Jake, the owner, has ENCOURAGED us to "B.Y.O.B" for this one.) Tony Kiegley says he's planning to smoke a couple of briskets for the racers... and I kid you not, last time he did brisket it was the best I have ever had.
Come on out and say goodbye to JCG.
