Servo S1903 (For metal gears, see #29125.)
Name: S1903
Torque (Kg-cm)/(oz-in): 3.0/41.7
Speed: (sec/60): 0.19
Weight (g/oz.): 46.5/1.64
Gear Type: 4P (plastic)
Bearing: 2 bushings
Din (mm): 40.4 x 20.0 x 37.9
Now... what do you consider a "reasonable" price? That one lists for $15.99, you can buy them on Ebay for $7.
Ummm... you don't have that in your RC8 do you? No wonder it died. You need at least double the torque.
Cheap servo that is ok for throttle: (barely) http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...r-Servo-S-JR-Z $35.99
Similar, but Futaba instead of Hitec: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-w-Metal-Gears
Airtronics, and less than the other 2: http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Bearing-Servo
There are lots more options, but I wouldn't go with anything LESS than those..
