Don't run the positive through #2, seeing as it would be an exposed positive.

Just one less thing to risk shorting out.

The general suggestions of "don't solder positive to the lead that will be exposed" are the common-sense route.

The reason I asked is because... what if my buddy needs to borrow a battery or a charge? Everything else has a standard of sorts, even if some brands are known to be "reverse" - at least we know about it. This is the only connector that seems to have no standard yet.

I havent bought any mini deans but I suppose the instructions are not on the back of the bag like the real deans connectors & you havent asked your buddys that may be needing to borrow your stuff? To be honest other than people that say they use them on forums I have never met anybody at any track that actually does use them so make them how ever you want & tell everyone that might use them to make theirs the same way.

w ww.manuals.hobbico.com/gpm/gpmm2070-manual.pdf

Check out page 2 ... they have the polarity on an esc i used for my foamy.. the pin on the battery connector that extends out is the positive... the esc has the pin sticking out negative.

This is how i then and now wire all my microdeans.. and the new esc that is prewired with the microdeans with polarity of the pin sticking out is negitive on the connector, so then the battery must have the positive pin sticking out for them to connect properly.
