I use the top one. It's nice because it breaks down into three pieces, the shaft the top rides on snaps into the base, making it two pieces...then whole thing takes minimal room in the car carrier.

That said, never tried the bottom one.

Ive got the top one, i love it.

I use a blue one for my blue novarossi pit towel and a black one for my black upgrade mat

I have the lower one the only gig is that you have to have a paper towel in between it cause it spins like a clutch bell. lol way bitchin though. I love it

Is the second stand made of metal of some kind? The top one is that plastic?

yeah top one is plastic and has a nice little place to hold all the screws..

the bottom one is metal, and like he said spins way too easy haha
