+1 the OS hits very good on bottom and pulls hard all the way through, but the JX is so smooth it spools up hard and smooth with RPM to spare, we test our buggy mills in my 808, and the JX rocks, and RUNTIMES

The Ninja and V-Spec are the same the only difference is the cosmetic differneces of the engines. I would say that, if you go with either you can't go wrong.

Lightbulb Best Chioce is Silver Top GRP .21 Same as MR Ninja

Who can argue with this. Now that GRP is no longer making the MR Ninjas the new OS versions are not the same, manufactured to there specs but made but a different company. I was told by GRP that the MR Ninjas and the GRPs are the same mill. As for the tunned and non tunned the difference is there is a worker sitting there somewhat matching the sleeves with the blocks. The porting and crank is all the same. Granted the silver top takes a standard plug, you can always buy a turbo button to run a turbo plug.

This is just my opinion, but the 250.00 I spent on my recently purchased Silver Top GRP was money well spent. They run and sound just like my 2 Mr Ninjas. now the new OS Ninja does sound a little different.

Sorry guys I didnt mean to hijack this thread

you are correct.. the GRP is the MR ninja.. the JX ninja on the other hand is a OS, made in the OS factory for Ninja. IMHO this is the best V Spec ever made. more reliable, more power, more run time, and a super smooth powerband.

Not quite,

from my understanding the jx ninja has

.28 case
more ports than the v spec
has the hardened and filled crank similar to the os speed

but either way both are great engines

see someone did there research..lol

yup zx28 case
"new" 5 port sleeve
speed rod
Balanced, bored/lightened, turbo cut, DLC coated, and filled crank
If you ask me these new features are defiantly worth the extra cheese.

So jpalessi:

which is better: the JX or the EXtech...since you've been pushing both over the past few months...or is it just due to your EB connection that you now are not running the Trinity??? I mean, you were really trying to pimp the hell out of the Extech and now are doing the same for the JX.
