Default What would the cause be?

Working on my sons car and its a hyper .21 now when I try to start it with the roto start is wants to move forward whentrying to start. Is this the one way bearing gone? Never had this issue so just curious as to what to look for before I start tearing apart. Should I be looking at the clutch. Thanks in advance.

Clutch is gone, need to rebuild -either the bearings are going or spring, the reason y its spinning is because the clutch is engaged
