Default My therapist said I need a hobby...

...apparently I work too much.

My first choice for a hobby was surfing interweb pron. My therapist said it's not a hobby, my wife said it wasn't funny, now that I think about it, it's more of a lifestyle than a hobby.

So i decided to get back in to R/C cars, I used to have a "clod buster" when i was in 9th grade. I drove it into a lake. oops.

So I hopped on craigslist and bought a t-maxx for $200.

it's fast.
my reflexes are slow.
I need a new steering servo now.

which leads me to my question. What's a good after market steering servo for a tmaxx?"

oh and hi. I'm kevon.

Hitec 7955 or 7985 would both be good choices. Lots of torque, good power, really strong, and good value. It's a servo that will last you a long time too, so if you like RCs enough to stick with them you'll be able to move it from model to model as you progress.

Welcome to RC Tech. Nice first post BTW "OMG he knows the english!" lol

R/C is a lifestyle too man
Hitec 7955 is the best servo on the market. Hitec also has the best customer service and warranty in the business.

That's funny. But, my wife thinks I need therapy BECAUSE of my hobby LOL. Any of the servos mentioned will work fine. I've been beating up a Hitec Ti geared servo in my T4 for several years and it's held up well.

In Alaska the Eskimo's recently started Nitro Rc racing on the ice. A newbie driver took his truggy out with screwed spike tire for the first time, after putting around for a awhile his engine died, so he asked for help from one on the more experienced racers. The older racers looked down and saw that the manifold gasket had and manifold had blown off the back of the engine, so he looked at the Newbie and said "Looks like you blew a seal" The newbie smiled, wiped his face and said, "NO NO That's just some frost on my Mustache"!

I ended up getting the JR Z650M

which I can't use due to my antenna issue I posted about in the chit chat forum a little while ago

anyway, is that a decent servo?

It looks to be a decent servo, according to the specs...

But decent is about as far as it goes
Should last a good while, though!
