I love mine! super responsive i like the big screen only 6 buttons work the whole menu, thats just the tip of the iceburg. Some people do find the m11 a little heavy running 8 AA batteries that barely last 2 race days. If you decide to get this radio spend the extra $$ and buy the lipo for it. the lipo lasts for months (serious) and drops some of the weight also. it has more lots of features and setting enough to make you dizze, There great with or without the DSM modual.
Just get the new M11X i heard it lighter than the original and is 2.4hrz ready.

It's the best radio damn radio available Period.
I had a Futaba 3PM,3PK and a spektrum Dx3R I first tried the M11 by chance when I forgot my radio at home and some guy offered me his spare M11 at first I was scared because it was much heavier than my DX3R but the weight is well placed and you can finish a 45 minute main with no worries aka forearm cramps
the DX3R is good but the M11 just feels like the designers spent a lot more time working on making it feel right in your hand not to mention it has all the adjustments that a high end radio is expected to have.

i had a M11 for a couple of years, then sold it to get a DX3R. had the DX3R for three months and sold it, then ran out and bought another M11.... I sware by the M11 and it would take something that is so frikin revolutionary (for example, it gives me the driving talent of Drake), before i would get rid of this M11.....
the only thing that i didn't like about the DX3R, was that it felt really really cheap.

M11X is awesome
its lighter and more balanced than the M11, it also has programmable modes now so you can make your own custom menu on the home screen
just make sure if you use a lipo (it comes with a NIMH pack) that you only use a 2 cell lipo....not the normal 3 cell like the other M11's

A word of warning:
DO NOT use an unregulated lipo with the 2.4ghz Airtronics receiver.
Great radio... I use the M8, it is a very nice update to that... but I see no need to change, Airtronics radios are bulletproof. (Ok, not literally, don't shoot it... but they are VERY reliable, VERY easy to use the various functions, and feel good in your hands.)

M11 is THE standard top pro radio used today, period!
I just went from a MX-3 FHSS-2 from a Spektrum DX3, and the increase in quality and "feel" was noticable. Then I went to the M-11 FHSS2 and was blown away again by how nice it was.
Then 2 weeks ago Airtronics wants our race Team to run the M11X, so I have switched to that, and OMG.... I am horrible at communicating but its in another league than all other radios....you just thought your radio was fast.... the M11X blows everything away; it goes to 11
