I have a set of teflon sealed bearings in my buggy at the moment and have noticed that the ones on the wheels (worst on the rear) are pulling themselves apart.

Basically the teflon shield is tearing apart and ending up as string around the axle.

Is this normal for teflon? Should I go back to rubber sealed bearings?

The teflon type are OK for 1/10 electric cars. Go to Double rubber sealed.
