ive just stopped riding bmx bcuz of injury, i think im gettin lil too old for the halfpipe "breakin my shoulder tryin to whirl and 720 wasnt fun" , i need something new to waste money on, and ive always been intested in rc racing, ... i have a cuz that has a traxxas truck and he has some somewhat knowledge on rc's, hes put bout 2 grand into his truck but doesnt race or anything its just a fun thing for him, and im thinkin im wantin to get into this hobbie but id like to race, does anyone have any advice or info they could give me, where tracks are? what leagues there are? what are good buggies to get? what is the generic scale for buggie class?
i live in southeast texas,, right by the border of louisiana... so if anyone has any tips or information they'd like to leave me ... thankyou

1/8 buggy is the most popular
When you find a local track near you go and ask questions see what parts are at the hobby shop that supports the track. All the rest is preference and availability in your area. Right around 2 grand is about right by the way when just starting out racing. You can go cheaper but 2 grand sneaks up awful quick. It's not a cheap hobby. My suggestion is let your fingers do the walking and go to your lhs(local hobby shop) and shoot the poo.
