RB mods would be who to ask the question. They would know the best what their engine likes.

seems like dynamite or ofna 053 with ofna square header is what people are using for bottom end/mid range pipe on novas.

I have a RB modded P5XS and I run a THS pipe on it and it has plenty of low end for my MP9. How much fuel you got through it? Got the carb tuned properly? Which THS pipe you using? I have the TSH816H on mine.

You're tune might be a little off, Nova P5's are known for strong bottom end.

i have 1 1/2 gals on the motor since mod about 2 all together. fuel mileage is not that great. i will that someone that can tune better then me look at it also. love the top end power but it bogges on the bottom, it has no snap to it.

Probably just needs a little better tune. Should get good mileage out of it and be pretty snappy. I haven't got full race tune yet and I know it's still rich but I get 7 mins to a tank and should get better once it's fully broken in and race tuned. But I have plenty of bottom end.

Thanks Guys talked to Mr Brake about it. im going to pull it out tonight and look at the shoes and see how they look. I'm running carbon shoes already he said i had the right pipe just to lean it out a lot more and change fuel from 20 to 30% and a cooler plug. Will keep you guys posted on how things work out.

Carbon shoes wouldn't cause that. I run carbons all the time and get plenty of snap. What you're describing is like a lsn setting that's not right. When it bogs, do you get a good thick puff of smoke? Is yes, you're probably too rich, if no, too lean (bottom end needle) and the engine gets singing on the top end because it's either clearing out or finally getting enough fuel.

What plug are you using? Normally he recommends a Hot plug with 30%. Did he suggest something else?

Start with O'Donnel's 77 or C5, and you'll be amazed. I prefer hot plugs with my novas
