Lipo Receiver pack C rating

For receiver packs, is there a significant performance difference between packs with a 5C compared to those ranging up to a 25C rating?

I know that there's a notable difference with C ratings in electric racing but what about for just power servos with or without a regulator?

That really depends on what you're running for servos...

High speed and high torque digital servo's can be pretty power hungry...

5C at the absolute minimum, depending on your pack capacity.

5C in a 2000mAh pack would be good...

But just like every other electronics, higher C is better for maintaining voltage under load.

edit:

Just did some checking, and as long as you've got at least 1 - 2C you'll be fine with a 2000mAh pack... But if you can find a 5C, I'd use that.

Most servo's are in the .5 amp range...

I am running a 2C pack and it is fine. I don't think anything higher than that is really needed.
