Default Motor

Ok I got a xray xb8tq for 100 which is a steal as a roller and I don't know what to put in motor wise I know that I probally want a .21 motor in it but other then that I don't know what company to go with or how much I am really wanting to spend on a motor but I think I don't want to get a motor over 300. Suggestions Please.

Recently I broke in a vspec speed and I love it. The speed is a little out of your price range but the reg vspec is in there. These engines are smooth and easier to drive. Give it a shot.

Pick up a Go-tech 3pt, especialy if your new to nitro. they are hard to mess up in the break in and if you do parts are cheep, they make great power also. I'd stay away from the v-spec, you either get a good one or a bad one. if you get a bad one your stuck with it.

+1 on the Go Tech 3 port or 7 port turbo race engines.

Os v-spec or mugen ninja come to mind. Both are excellent engines and in your range. They are both OS made. The ninja is a smoother engine, and will last longer because of the coated crank and speed style rod. V-spec will hit harder on the bottom with a less smooth powerband. Lifetime is not a problem if you take care of it. My v-spec just reached the 9 gallon mark this past weekend, and it is running great!

Picco Evo 2 or Jammin .21. Basically the same engine, but excellent power from both and well within your price range. Nova .21 BF is also a good option to consider. I'd like to toss in a nod for the Ex Tech line...but at this time they are difficult to find. With Trinity's rcent move, it may be another month before they are readily available again. Pair the Race Prep version up with a Trinity or Sirio 2057 pipe and you'll be dialed

I am new to the RC world.I have a OS .18 I love it. Holds a tune very good. See if there is a .21 in your price range. There a very good motor.

Thanks I thought that I might get something for putting motor instead of engine my bad.

I might want to go with the nova's but I don't know where to get them even the basic engine because I would like to get one of the nova's because I have seen them run and they seem like a strong engine. I have also liked seeing the go tech engines run they seem to be pretty strong.

AMain has the .21 BF in stock. I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe the Go mills are based off the Nova P5...though there is no affiliation between Nova and Go.
